TYPES OF COMPETITIVE SWIMMERS

AGE GROUP

From the grassroots level, all the way up to Olympic champions. These swimmers are eligible to participate in all Age Group programming in Ontario in which they are qualified for – training, competitions, training camps, tour teams and more.

PARA

Classified as athletes with a disability by Swimming Canada. Registered Para swimmers are integrated with Age Group athletes during training and most competitions; Provincial and National Championships, as well as some Invitationals and Regional Championships offering Para specific events.

MASTERS

Registered as part of an affiliated club or as an independent swimmer, Masters are adults who can participate in sanctioned activities offered by Swimming Canada and Swim Ontario.
