COST: $1000.00
Includes travel within the tour and camp, accommodation, food, coaching costs and meet entry fees.
Costs associated with travel to pre-tour or post tour travel are the responsibility of the swimmer
Home clubs will be invoiced for the designated swimmer fee after the tour.
Up to 16 Paralympic Stream swimmers regardless of gender
Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this opportunity
Designated staff members must be fully registered with an ACTIVE status in REMS as of October 31, 2026
Minimum Certification: Age Group Coach (201) Trained or Higher
Priority will be given to Coaches of Record of swimmers selected to the tour
Lead Coaches will be determined by Swim Ontario Technical Staff
Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of coaches for this opportunity
Must be fully registered with an ACTIVE status in REMS as of October 15, 2026
Must be eligible to represent Canada at an international competition.
Must be training full time with a Swim Ontario affiliated program
Must have a Level 2 classification or higher.
Must have achieved at least 1 minimum qualifying standard for the Ken Demchuk International Invitational
Performances must appear on swimrankings.net in order to be eligible.
Performances not appearing on swimrankings.net or outside of the performance window will not be considered.
All Paralympic Event performances from the stated performance window that meet a standard for the Ken Demchuck International Invitational will be scored using the Canadian Para Swimming Points Calculator.
Swimmers who meet the eligibility requirements will be ranked based on their single highest point scoring event.
The top 16 ranked swimmers, regardless of gender, will be eligible for selection
Two (2) female and two (2) male swimmers will be identified as alternates in the order of point score.
Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers
Coaches will be asked to provide event selection for their athlete(s) to Stu McLean
Coaches are reminded that the sessions at this competition are fairly short (under 2 hours) so coaches should select events accordingly.
Final event selection will be finalized by Swim Ontario Technical staff in collaboration with the Lead Coach.
To expose athletes to relay racing, when possible, athletes will be placed on a relay team with either Swim Ontario or Swimming Canada coordinated exhibition relays.
In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances the Chief Technical Officer, has the sole discretion to resolve the matter, taking into account any factors and circumstances deemed relevant.
Swim Ontario reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion. Any changes to this document shall be published by Swim Ontario and communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record
The Swim Ontario Chief Technical Officer has sole authority over all selection matters, including final decisions regarding APF selection based on approved criteria and subsequent requirements. All decisions are considered final and not subject to review or appeal.
