All staff members must be fully registered with an ACTIVE status in REMS as of October 15, 2026
Minimum Certification: Age Group Coach (201) Trained or Higher
Priority will be given to Coaches of Record of swimmers selected to the tour
Lead Coaches will be determined by Swim Ontario Technical Staff
Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this opportunity
Camp Fee: $1000.00
Includes travel within the tour and camp, accommodation, food, coaching costs and meet entry fees.
Costs associated with travel to pre-tour or post tour travel are the responsibility of the swimmer
Home clubs will be invoiced for the designated swimmer fee after the tour.
Up to 20 Olympic Stream Swimmers regardless of gender
Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this opportunity
Must be fully registered with an ACTIVE status in REMS as of October 15, 2026
Swimmers must be eligible to represent Canada internationally
Swimmers must be 17 and Under as of December 31, 2026 listed above to be considered
Swimmers must meet the qualifying standard for the competition
Must be training full time with a Swim Ontario affiliated program
Swim Ontario will only consider results in Olympic Events from all sanctioned long course (LC) competitions within the Eligible Performance Window.
It is the responsibility of the individual clubs or athletes to ensure that results are uploaded.
Swimmers selected to the Swimming Canada National Development opportunities will not be eligible for selection.
Performance Window: January 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026
National rankings for the defined performance window posted to swimrankings.net will be used to identify eligible swimmers.
Eligible LCM performances will be ranked based on the highest percentage of World Class On-Track Performances.
Swim Ontario reserves the right to select swimmers outside of the selection criteria to the tour based on selection and performance at 2026 provincial programming camps.
The 20 highest ranked swimmers regardless of gender using the selection criteria above will be notified of their eligibility to attend the camp through their Coach of Record.
Swimmers must confirm their attendance to Technical Lead Stu McLean by identified date noted on the tour invitation
The final list of confirmed swimmers will be circulated to Coaches of Record.
Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this camp
Coaches will be asked to provide event selection for their athlete(s) to Stu McLean
Final event selection will be finalized by Swim Ontario Technical staff in collaboration with the Lead Coach.
To expose athletes to relay racing, when possible, athletes will be placed on a relay team
Travel and Accommodation for the tour will be coordinated by the Team Manager.
Any costs associated with Pre and Post Tour travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the attending swimmers and coaches.
In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances the Chief Technical Officer, has the sole discretion to resolve the matter, taking into account any factors and circumstances deemed relevant.
Swim Ontario reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion. Any changes to this document shall be published by Swim Ontario and communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record
The Swim Ontario Chief Technical Officer has sole authority over all selection matters, including final decisions regarding APF selection based on approved criteria and subsequent requirements. All decisions are considered final and not subject to review or appeal.
