THIS DOMESTIC PODIUM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY IS MADE POSSIBLE BY SWIM ONTARIO
RATIONALE
To provide collaborative training opportunities for swimmers ranked in either the Ontario or Canadian rankings in 100m/200m events as part of the Swim Ontario Domestic Podium Development project.
TRAINING DATES
- Stage 1: October 2026
- Stage 2: January/February 2027
- Final dates to be confirmed
TRAINING LOCATION: Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre
SWIMMER TRAINING FEE:
- October and January/February Camps: $175.00 per camp
SWIMMER ELIGIBILITY
- Male Year of Birth 2009 or Younger
- Must be fully registered with an ACTIVE status in REMS as of October 20, 2026
- Must be eligible to compete for Canada internationally
- Swimmers selected to the Swimming Canada National Development opportunities will not be eligible for selection.
- Swim Ontario reserves the right to select swimmers outside of the selection criteria to the camps
SELECTION PRIORITIES
- Priority 1: Swimmers selected to the Podium Development Camps during the 2025-2026 season
- Priority 2: Swimmers ranked in the TOP 3 in the 200m events in the combined Year of Birth Ontario Rankings from the 2025-2026 LCM season
- Priority 3: Swimmers ranked in the TOP 3 in the 100m events in the combined Year of Birth Ontario Rankings from the 2025-2026 LCM season
- Swim Ontario reserves the right to invite additional swimmers who fall outside of the initial selection priorities based on swimmer confirmations and available space.
PARTICIPANT EXPECTATIONS
- Once committed, swimmers must attend and participate in all activities related to these training opportunities
- Swimmer must be in good health and injury free to participate.
- Selected swimmers must be in full training with their registered club program
- Must be able to complete all training expectations outlined by the leadership team
- Swimmers will be asked to complete testing sets throughout the season in their Daily Training Environment (DTE)
- Coaches are encouraged to attend all training sessions with their swimmers.
- Coaches are responsible for their travel and accommodation to and from the camp.
Travel and Accommodation
Travel and Accommodation for the tour will be coordinated by the Team Manager.
Any costs associated with Pre and Post Tour travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the attending swimmers and coaches.
Unforeseen Circumstances
In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances the Chief Technical Officer, has the sole discretion to resolve the matter, taking into account any factors and circumstances relevant.
Changes To This Document
Swim Ontario reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion. Any changes to this document shall be published by Swim Ontario and communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record
Swim Ontario Authority for Decisions
The Swim Ontario Chief Technical Officer has sole authority over all selection matters, including final decisions regarding selection based on approved criteria and subsequent requirements. All decisions are considered final and not subject to review or appeal.
